18-25 year olds: You will be interested in the above video. The media continues to ignore this plan, which is not unusual for them. However, considering the amount of youth voters who lined up for Obama this election season, it is truly unfortunate they are the last ones to find out about this “requirement” being considered by the new Obama administration. |

Welcome from GCRP Chairman, David Gibson. I would like to invite any and all of you that may want to volunteer to help us continue to keep a strong presence in Grayson County to let me know how you can help. We need to fill some precinct chairman positions and we always need election workers. If you are interested please send me an email and let me know how you would like to help. We will continue to add information to the site so be patient as it will be a work in progress. Again thanks to all and I look forward to seeing you in the future. Sincerely, |

Talking Points:
GM / Chrysler Bankruptcy
and the GOP’s Commitment to
June 4, 2009
·
This is a very sad day. My heart goes out to the individuals and
families that are going to be directly affected by GM’s bankruptcy and
the ensuing government takeover. This is a unfortunate circumstance for
our nation.
·
Families are struggling. Millions of Americans have lost their jobs.
Many are struggling to pay their bills, make their mortgage payments,
and send their kids to college. Small business owners who haven’t gone
out of business are struggling to keep their doors open.
·
The president assured Americans that he didn’t want to be “in the
business of making cars,” but the federal government will now own 60% of
GM.
·
The president said in February the government needed to bailout GM and
Chrysler with $20 billion of taxpayer money – now both are bankrupt.
·
The Obama administration’s involvement in GM’s bankruptcy means
taxpayers will have to give the company $30 billion more to help it
reorganize.
·
GM’s bankruptcy is proof that the “change” President Obama promised for
America is really a dangerous expansion of government, an assault on
capitalism and a march toward socialism.

Executive Committee
Meeting planned for July 14th at the Golden Corral 6:30. Please RSVP if
you are going to attend. Kay Bailey Hutchison came to Denison for a fund raiser and it was held at
Loose Wheels in Denison. Several people attended as Senator Hutchison
talked about her campaign for Governor.
There will be a Texoma TEA Party rally on Saturday, July 4, 9-11 am, at
the Grayson County Courthouse, Sherman, Texas. Bring signs if you
wish. After an opening with the Pledge of Allegiance and a brief
speech to get us going, we will have an open mike, limit 5 minutes.
If you are interested in speaking, please email me so I can put you on my
list. (I will also allow sign-ups at the rally)
We will be registering people to keep an accurate count. We will
have lists in several places to help minimize the waiting time. Or
you can bring a card or piece of paper with name and contact information
to be placed in a container for later count.
After last Friday’s vote in the House of Representatives on the energy
bill (some 1300 pages passed without a reading), we need to contact our
senators and let them know how we feel on this bill. Even the
President said this bill will raise energy costs per family anywhere from
$50 a month to $1500 a month. We don’t need this in a time of
economic downturns.
